I don’t mean to brag (well maybe just a little), but if you want to drive across one of the world’s 13 most beautiful bridges, then come on down to the Florida Keys for a visit to Key West via the iconic Seven Mile Bridge, the most beautiful bridge in the US.
The bridge, still one of the longest bridges in the US, crosses the turquoise waters of the Florida Keys. And yes, the water really is this color!
Fun Fact: The legendary Seven Mile Bridge was featured in the movie, “True Lies,” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis, still a fun movie to watch. Every time I drive over the bridge, I think of the famous helicopter scene when Arnold saves Jamie Lee, rescuing her from her evil captors.
Enjoy “living in the turquoise,” if only for seven short miles. Read about the other breathtaking bridges here:
So there are a lot of really incredible bridges out there. Seriously, a lot. How do we know this? Because we scaled new heights in the world — or world wide web, whatever — to locate the most staggering ones out there. Suspension bridges that rival that one from Shrek. Foot bridges that sway over foggy-bottomed ravines. One that’s literally alive. These are 13 spans that will make you gasp on your way to whatever’s on the other side. Via thrillist.com
